Lebron and Dwayne are innocent! Its not arrogance Skippy. It’s hatred.

I welcome and encourage comments and different opinions.

I knew it.  I knew it all along.  Lebron James and Dwayne Wade are fed up with the media and frankly they have every right to be.  The media overhypes this team and they overhype James and then they slam him so hard its not even funny anymore.  Frankly,  it’s repulsive and disgusting and I’m so tired of it.  Its amazing how the majority of people don’t believe Wade when he says that the recent coughing show he and Lebron put on for the cameras was in no way meant to disrespect Dirk.  What do Wade and James have to gain from disrespecting Dirk Nowitski?  The Mavericks defeated them two straight game in the fourth quarter.  Lebron has completely underperformed while Dirk played lights out even while fighting a fever.  HELLLLLOOO.  Dirk totally owns them while battling a fever and then people draw the conclusion that their little coughing fit was to make fun of Dirk’s illness????If anything Dirk should be making making fun of them.

Wake up and smell the roses people.  Who do Wade and even more so James hate more than anyone else in the world right now?ITS THE MEDIA.  They hate this national media that has been on their case from day 1 and will never shut up about every little thing they say, every little thing they do, still won’t shut up about The Decision, having this whole stupid debate about Lebron and Michael Jordan for no good reason, putting Lebron on a pedestal and then slamming him down every chance they get just because its the popular thing to do.  The negative media attention of Lebron James is on par with that of Anthony Weiner and you tell me do both those guys deserve the same amount of negative press?

Wade and Lebron staged this little act because its a subtle and clever way to demonstrate just how much of an absurd magnifying glass the media has on the two of them, particularly James.  Its a way of saying “Screw you media” without actually saying it.    But people have so much hatred and vitriol for James and the Heat, that they are quick to dismiss this act as a disrespect towards Dirk Nowitski.

Wade said it himself, “I actually did cough, And with the cameras being right there, we made a joke out of it because we knew you guys were going to blow it up. You did exactly what we knew.”

And the media did just that.  They blew it up like a hot air balloon and now everyone hates James and Wade and the Heat even more.

Lebron James comments reveal even more “I’m not feeding into that, If you guys want to feed into everything that not only myself or D-Wade or the Miami Heat do, I think that’s a non-issue. There’s bigger issues in this series than that.”

Lebron James despises the media right now and for good reason.  Im completely convinced they’re in his head and its affected his play and he hates them for that.  I’m not saying its an excuse buts let’s be honest he’s only been the most scrutinized sports superstar ever in the history of professional sports and that takes its toll.  Michael Jordan did not play in the age of mass media and tweeting and he also didn’t have the media overhype that Lebron James has had.  There’s so much more pressure on Lebron James than there was on Michael Jordan and thats not Lebron’s fault.  Its the media’s fault.

I will leave you with this.  Who’s winning this series? Who deserves some credit? THE MAVERICKS.  DIRK.  There’s so much negative press on James and Wade that the team that actually won games 4 and 5 isn’t getting the credit they deserve from the media or the fans.  Lebron said it himself referring to the coughing act, “There’s bigger issues in this series than that.”

Apparently the media didn’t get the memo or they choose to ignore it.

You’re giving James and the Heat way too much of a free-pass. How can you cast all the blame on the media for the ridiculous amount of hype heaped on Lebron and this team.

Lebron is the one who got the tattoo “Chosen1” across his back.

Lebron is the one who made his twitter name “King James”, who on his voice mail, or phone, or whatever it was Skip was referencing refers to himself as “this is the King”, and Lebron is the one who wears a plastic bracelet on his wrist with the words “King James” printed on it.

Lebron is the one who had an hour long special just to announce where he’d be playing.

Lebron, Bosh and Wade, as well as the Heat, are the ones who decided to have this pre-season party celebrating the three coming together where Lebron proceeded to promise “not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5……championships”

Lebron and the rest of the big three are the ones who at the beginning of the year said anything LESS than a title would be a failure.

So excuse people for not feeling sorry for a guy and thinking the “media” has placed unfair hype upon him and his team when he’s done far more than enough on his own to generate ridiculous hype without any help from the media.

I’m sorry, but if you’re guilty of all the things that I just mentioned, you better be bringing home the hardware. If not, expect to get the backlash for it, and do NOT expect anyone to feel sorry for you over it. Try a little humility and you’ll be surprised at how much people are willing to accept and not lambaste someone for.

Blaming the media is just what Lebron wants you to do, because he wants no blame. It’s part of the reason he left Cleveland, part of the reasoning behind his disappearing act. He doesn’t want the burden on him, he doesn’t like the responsibility of it. So sure, play his game and blame the media.

Of course they wanted to “blame the media” for the Dirk mocking bit, because that fits into just what they want their blind followers to buy into, that the media is out to get them. Unfortunately for them, the act is getting old and more and more people are having their eyes opened.

Sure, some things that happen are out of their control, but absolving them of blame and blaming the media is just a cop-out, which is typical of James and his associates.

Hey thanks for being my first comment ever. The Yankees also say that its their duty to win a title every year. Is is possibly possible for them to win the title every year? And the media doesn’t lambaste them that much when they don’t. Not like this. People say things, stupid things especially professional sports players. Teams say things. Can’t take everything so literally and for one human being this has been dragged on for so long it gets ridiculous. Regardless of what lebron said or did this age of social media has brought out the worst in people and at the end lebron is a human being and he hasnt done anything that he deserves to be crucified for this long and this hard. He didn’t break the law like Plaxico Burress or Michael Vick did. He’s not one of the NFL or NBA players involved in much more serious off the court or field controversies but he’s gotten has much bad press as any one of them would ever get. This guy may have said and done all those things to boost his ego and his status and maybe he has to reexamine himself on the court next year and revert to being a more dominant player to satisfy that image he’s carved out but he is not a VILLIAN for leaving Cleveland. People make mistakes and I think if he went to Miami and didn’t do the Decision he’d still be the most hated sports figure in America anyway. All right im done on lebron. Too much focus on him. Time for a new topic if i can think of one 🙂

The Yankees also didn’t have a party during the offseason where Jeter, Tex and A-Rod announced how many championships they are going to win either, did they? You’re forgetting that, or ignoring it.

Can’t take things so literally? You’re right, shouldn’t read too much into an over the top party put on by the team before they even had one practice together where they proclaimed they’d win 7 plus championships. Yeah, people just took that the wrong way and ran with it, you’re right.

He’s in the spotlight. He’s acted like a pretentious, arrogant jerk. Until he no longer acts in such a manner he will be subjected to being criticized for it. It comes with the territory.

Nobody said he’s done what Vick did. Then again, you don’t have to do what Vick did to be someone people don’t like.

A lot of the off court stuff players get involved with is minor. Simple mistakes here and there. Lebron isn’t just making “a mistake”, he’s making continued mistakes. To continuously act and speak in the manner he does, so egregiously arrogant and pretentious isn’t just a person making a mistake, its who the person is.

Not to mention, the guys that make those off field mistakes a habit, I’m not a fan of them either. Do they get railed as harshly publicly? No. But that might be because none of them CALL THEMSELVES THE KING!

And no, if he hadn’t had the “decision”, he would face NEAR the criticism and major dislike from the general public that he does. Lebron, before this year, was NOT a hated sports figure. He became taht way over the summer.
